Blog: Pose for Life Drawing

For some strange reason I wasn't nervous about doing this. Like I know I should have been nervous but just wasn't. So many things went through my head like, I've danced as a cheerleader and dressed up in drag. I knew the art class wasn't going to judge me and I have just got to a point now where I'm am really feeling comfortable being uncomfortable! It's a real shame that I look at the photos and instead of going "oh my god I'm naked", I go, "oh my god I need to get to the gym"!

I'm learning some amazing things this month. Setting goals is all about breaking it up into those small pieces and knocking off the easy stuff and building up to the more challenging stuff. Staying focused on the goal and not on the things that might get in the way. Feeling confident that even if the goal doesn't work it's all a great learning experience and in 100 years who'll care. Celebrating the positives and rejoicing in the little things in life, and first and foremost not taking life for granted.

I'm ready I'm amp and in the totally right head space to get buried alive tomorrow that I don't even have butterflies in my stomach, bring it on!!

Campbell Live are flying down tomorrow to film it and talk about Discovery which is really exciting and it will air on Monday night.

Remember if you want to make a difference or want to achieve a goal, then dream, plan, visualise, believe in yourself, then just do it!

  1. You are so awesome Grant. I so love the Discovery aspect of your challenge, ie. what you are learning about yourself in the process! Inspirational is no longer a sufficient superlative for you! Hey you are almost there - & what a journey! Your children are going to be so amazing due to having you as a Dad - as are 1 or many teens, who will get to experience Discovery because of you! YOU ARE A LEGEND - & I need to meet you one day :-) And so thinking of you tomorrow! Cannot imagine anything worse & will be checking the website on an hourly basis - to know you are okay! Accept I am probably going to acquire a number of new grey hairs between now & then! But hey - that's the price - I may not be doing it, but am so with you. GO YOU AMAZING GUY GO!
