Blog: Busking in Town

I had a mixture of excitement and nerves today. In all fairness to the fear I do play guitar and do write my own songs however I have never gone busking by myself before and it has been something I have wanted to do, just never had the guts. I had about 5 hours sleep last night and was racing around this morning getting everything organised. Thank you to Beggs for the gear and StarBucks for the power and the rather large coffee.

Starting out I was really nervous – I didn't know if I'd be able to hit the notes or hear myself through the PA system. End result: I had a blast. It wasn't anywhere near as scary as I thought it would be, and the longer I stayed on the street the bigger my comfort zone got. You have to check out the bit where I put the guitar down and sung Celebrate just by myself. My friend Cindy come up and sang a song with me. Go Cindy! That was heaps of fun. I also raised about $50 for Discovery Programme! So from yesterday and today that's $130. Now I get the afternoon off and can just relax and get ready for "The Curry of Death" tomorrow night.
